Background Checks for Board Members, Coaches, Referees and Volunteers
We require all coaches to pass a background check for sexual offenses as well as major felony convictions.  Any offense will require the coach to appear before the BSYF Board before being allowed to coach.  Any sexual offense against a minor will automatically disqualify and individual from coaching

Coaches
We are taking volunteers for 2009 coaches.  We require all coaches to pass a background check for sexual offenses as well as major felony convictions. Due to the new age divisions, we are not able to guarantee any coach a team until after registration occurs.  We will place volunteers on a list and will notify you regarding your coaching status after August 1, 2009.  Priority will be given to coaches who have children playing in the league.

Fees
2009 season fees will be $175 for football and $135 for cheer.  If you have multiple participants, BSYF now offers a discounted fee for additional participants of $150 per football player or $125 per cheerleader.

Installment Payments
BSYF will allow installment payments for 2009.  There will be a service charge to use this option.  Entire payment must be received by August 1, 2009 or we will refund your payments, minus a $25 service charge, and cancel your registration.

Insurance
For the 2009 Season, BSYF is required to purchase Liability Insurance for each participant.  In order to accommodate this requirement, we have had to adjust the league fees to cover the expense.  In addition to league liability insurance, each player will be covered by a basic health plan as well.  Details will be available before the season begins.

Late Registration
April 26, 2009 - August 1, 2009.  $25 late fee will apply.  After August 1, we will use a waiting list, and we will only accept a registration if there is a spot available.  If a spot becomes available, BSYF will place the player according to need.

Multi Child Discount
$150 for additional football players or $125 for additional cheerleader.

Team Placement
The BSYF player selection committee will build teams with the single goal of building competitive balance among all teams.  In order to accomplish this, we have incorporated age groupings, and will no longer be able to guarantee that teams will be kept together from year to year.  We will do our best to allow teams to remain together, but will no longer sacrifice competitive balance to do so. Players will be placed on teams according to age.  Players may elect to play one division above their age division.  No player will be allowed to play below their age division.  Teams will be created on August 1, 2009, and rosters will be available on Monday, September 7, 2009.  BSYF reserves the right to place players where needed to create competitive

Volunteers
BSYF has a need for volunteers to assist with concessions, t-shirts, field setup and cleanup and a variety of other projects.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact volunteer@bsyf.org

What do I get for my registration fee?
For the 2009 season, each player will receive a jersey,  yearbook, socks and mouthguard. BSYF will provide each participant a helmet, shoulder pads and game pants.  In addition, each player will be enrolled in the BSYF insurance plan.
